ERASMUS+: QUALITY OF EDUCATION – A GLOBAL TREND

Academic mobility of the staff of East Kazakhstan University Irina Rovnyakova and Dana Nigmanova within ERASMUS+ continues in the Academy of Social and Medical Sciences ANSiM (Poland, Lublin). The parties discussed the state of education quality in OECD countries, familiarized themselves with the external assessment of education quality in the universities of Kazakhstan and Poland.

-Studying the experience of Polish universities is interesting for comparing the criteria of external evaluation of the quality of education in the universities of Poland and Kazakhstan. Polish HEIs, as well as HEIs of Kazakhstan, participate in the accreditation procedure, where key accreditation agencies, organizations and mechanisms that ensure compliance of higher education with European standards are defined, – said Irina Rovnyakova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation.

The main national accreditation board is the Polish Accreditation Commission, which is a member of ENQA and registered with EQAR. The main purpose of the commission is to assess the quality of educational programs, conduct institutional and program accreditations, and prepare expert opinions on the licensing of new programs.

During the meeting colleagues discussed standards, approaches to institutional and program accreditations, evaluation system, as well as the use of AI in the educational process.

In conclusion, the specialists of the Academy of Social and Medical Sciences conducted a tour to familiarize with the educational infrastructure, where the emphasis was placed on the launch of joint educational programs in physiotherapy within the framework of EP East Kazakhstan University “Ergopedagogy and occupational therapy”, “Recreational Physical Education”,

It should be noted that the lectures have already started by the professors of medicine from the Academy from April 2025 in offline format and will continue in the next academic year.
