The Department of Biology at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a national roundtable titled “Prospects for the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Science and Education.”
At the event, Anar Tuleubayeva, Deputy Chair of the Qaz.AI Association, delivered a keynote presentation. The roundtable also brought together O.V. Ivashchenko, Senior Lecturer at Alikhan Bokeikhan University, as well as faculty members, doctoral students, and students of the Department of Biology.
The main goal of the roundtable was to discuss effective ways to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the fields of science and education, explore their potential and capabilities, and determine future directions for development.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the ability of AI to personalize the learning process, automatically monitor and evaluate student progress, and analyze and systematize large datasets in scientific research. Particular attention was also given to ethical standards, information security, and the protection of personal data in the context of AI use.
In conclusion, participants emphasized the need to improve digital literacy among educators and students, organize specialized training courses, and gradually implement AI tools into educational programs.
As a result of the roundtable, specific recommendations were adopted, and a clear action plan for the use of artificial intelligence in science and education for the upcoming academic year was developed.
This initiative represents an important step toward the integration of artificial intelligence into the education system, fully aligning with the university’s strategy for innovative development.
