AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, INNOVATIVE EQUIPMENT AND METHODOLOGIES OF THE INCLUSIVE CENTER “DANA BALA” WERE PRESENTED TO THE VICE MINISTER

At Amanzholov University, innovative equipment and methodologies of the Center for Continuous and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala” were presented to the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulzat Kobenova. The university showcased its achievements in research activities and the active integration of artificial intelligence into the development of inclusive education, implementing the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on creating an accessible educational environment.

At the “Dana Bala” center, proprietary methodologies and modern solutions for pedagogical and corrective support for children with special educational needs were demonstrated. Among the key developments are the “Smart Mirror” for AI-based analysis of a child’s cognitive processes, the “Dana Bala Box” featuring articulation, neuro- and breathing exercises, and the “Dana Bala Triangular World” designed to develop attention, memory, and thinking. The “Financial Magnate” project was also presented—a business game with AI bots aimed at building financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills among primary school students.

Students presented their own startups focused on developing sensorimotor, speech, and cognitive skills. The university is implementing the international MIKKO project (“Six Areas of Development”) in partnership with the Polish company UNOWA, conducting pilot studies, child diagnostics, specialist training, and validation of assessment tools. The project is based on model inclusive education classrooms established in 2023–2024.

The facilities are equipped under the World Bank’s “Education Modernization” program, providing future teachers with practical training for working with children with special educational needs.

Students and master’s students in the programs “Special Pedagogy” and “Early Intervention Pedagogy” actively participate in projects, conduct diagnostics, and carry out practical work at the “Sauletai” kindergarten, adapting international tools to the national education system. The Vice Minister noted that Amanzholov University is strengthening its position as one of the leaders in innovative and inclusive educational practices, forming a modern ecosystem to support children and advance scientific and digital initiatives in Kazakhstan.
