SCIENTISTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH VISIT WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF A SCIENTIFIC PROJECT

In February 2026, Kazakhstani scholars — Professor Zhibek Rakhmetulina, PhD Dr. Tana Abylaikhanova, and PhD Dr. Aigerim Abaevna — participated in an international research visit as part of the scientific project “Human Capital Management and Improving the Quality of Labor Resources in the Context of the Development of the Digital Economy.”

The research mission brought together scholars from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, and the Kazakh-American Free University.

The main purpose of the visit was to study the British experience in developing digital skills and competencies, as well as advancing digital and online learning in higher and vocational education in London. During the trip, the Kazakhstani scholars visited leading universities — University College London and Coventry University London — where they held professional meetings with international experts.

One of the key meetings was a professional discussion with Professor Olga Kret, PhD, from the Department of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the School of Management, Coventry University London. The discussion focused on human capital development, the formation of modern competencies, the integration of research-based approaches into the educational process, and prospects for international scientific cooperation. The international experience clearly demonstrated the importance of aligning educational programs with the demands of the digital economy and the labor market.

In addition, as part of the research mission, the scholars conducted field studies, visited university and public research libraries in London, collected analytical and statistical materials, and examined international scientific publications and best practices in the development of digital competencies.

As a result of the international research mission, plans are underway to develop an organizational mechanism for integrating educational ecosystems with the digital environment. This mechanism will aim to enhance the quality of workforce training and adapt the education system to the modern requirements of the digital economy.

Such international scientific activity contributes to the development of academic mobility, strengthens international cooperation, facilitates the integration of advanced international experience into Kazakhstan’s educational and research practices, and enhances the global competitiveness of national science and higher education.
