RECTOR OF THE AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY ABOUT EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY AND IN THE WORKPLACE

Today dual studying is an integral part of modern education. This is how a strong tandem of theoretical knowledge and practical skills is formed, which allows ready specialists to successfully find employment and adapt to work processes faster. During dual studying a student is immersed in the working and business environment, gaining professional experience as a university student. Such a competent approach has undeniable advantages over classical form of studying. Even before graduation, the student has a clear understanding of his/her job responsibilities, the peculiarities of the working day, as well as an understanding of the goals and professional mission.

The system of dual studying has been implemented at the Amanzholov University for many years, which implies theoretical training of personnel on the basis of the university and practical training at the production facility. This well-thought-out and far-sighted collaboration in the field of higher education makes it possible to consolidate the knowledge acquired at the university and feel more confident as an official employee.

By the way, the list of our partner enterprises includes: National Center for Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of RK “VNIItsvetmet”, Titanium-Magnesium Combine, Ulba Metallurgical Plant, National Nuclear Center of RK, Education Department of East Kazakhstan, “TechnoAnalit” LLP, “Vostok-Moloko” Corporation, “Institute of Analysis and Forecasting of East Kazakhstan” LLP, IP “SAPA”, Center of Forensic Expertise, schools #47, #15, 34, 45, 20, 48, 46 and others.

I would like to note that last academic year there were 46 dual educational programs and 838 students in Amanzholov University who have already gained experience at enterprises. 72% of graduates after graduation are officially employed by enterprises if there are vacancies or have already been employed since their 3rd or 4th year of study. This facilitates adaptation to work processes, the team and, of course, affects the quality of labor duties.

Bright cases of our 2024 graduates, who are actively making the first steps on the way to their professional career, serve as an example. Alexandra Snegireva, who completed studying in the Chemistry educational program, is already working as an engineer in a chemical laboratory.

According to Alexandra, the specialty she chose provided her with a unique opportunity for dual studying and she could combine theoretical studies at the university with practice in a real laboratory.

It is encouraging that students receive offers of internships and employment even before completing their studying. One such example is Ksenia Kolodnitskaya, a 2024 graduate of the Preschool Education and studying program. She received an invitation to an internship at the Valeological Specialized School-Complex for Gifted Children in her fourth year. Now she is officially employed as a teacher in a preschool group.

Ksenia Kolodnitskaya’s example illustrates the quality of training, the effectiveness of educational programs and the university’s support for future specialists.

To summarize, the dual system of studying makes it possible to train personnel who, upon leaving the educational institution, do not just have a diploma of a specialist in a particular field, but can independently solve any professional tasks. Moreover, taking into account the specifics of the organization or enterprise where they underwent dual studying.

The value of such specialists for production is not in any comparison with ordinary graduates, and it is on them that a bet is made as candidates for the personnel reserve, from which grow middle and top managers. Thus, the dual form of studying allows to significantly strengthen the practical component of the whole academic process and gives an excellent result for the training of professional staff.
