MINISTER OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN SAYASAT NURBEK AWARDED A PROFESSOR OF EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY.

Today in the framework of the conference “CONNECTED 2024: REIMAGINING THE FUTURE” Associate Professor of the Department of Biology Gulnaz Sadykanova was awarded a certificate from the Head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister Sayasat Nurbek. Not so long ago the professor presented an online course “Structural and functional organisation of eukaryotic cell or Journey into the cell” for the platform “Coursera”, which received positive expert opinions on technical requirements and content. The professor together with the Coursera Kazakhstan team have already uploaded the course materials to the global platform Coursera. Gulnaz Sadykanova became the first Kazakh scientist to post her author’s work within the framework of the “Coursera in Kazakh” project.

– Today is a wonderful day, my work was appreciated at a high level, I was very pleased to receive an award from the hands of Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan. The best scientists and teachers of educational institutions and scientific organisations of the country, national and foreign partners, representatives of international organisations have gathered here. We will discuss topical issues in the field of AI, to accelerate the learning of students.

Recall, the subject of the study was cell biology. The aim of the course is to study the cell as a complex biological system, to apply it in mastering physiology, genetics and molecular biology. The professor’s work presented the latest information on cell theory, types of cell organisation, structural and functional systems of eukaryotic cell, system of storage, reproduction and implementation of genetic information.

It should be noted that East Kazakhstan University employee managed to prepare a high-quality video course thanks to the latest multimedia studio of interactive video recording ‘”EdSmart Premium”. The digital laboratory is equipped with video-audio equipment, which enables teachers to prepare educational content and courses for the Coursera platform using modern methods and tools.
