A TRAINING SEMINAR ON THE USE OF THE PLICKERS PROGRAMME WAS HELD

In the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a methodological training seminar for teaching staff, organised by the department for the organisation of educational and methodological work.

The methodological training seminar was organised on the topic “Practical application of Plickers in the final assessment of the academic discipline”. The seminar, dedicated to the practical application of Plickers programme, gathered teachers from various disciplines interested in innovative approaches to the final assessment of students. The aim of the event was to familiarise participants with the capabilities of Plickers and to discuss its effective implementation in the teaching process.

The speaker of the event was Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physics and Technology Imanzhanova Kulbarchin Tleukanovna.

The seminar was organised in the format of an interactive presentation, where participants had the opportunity not only to listen, but also to actively participate in discussions. The programme consisted of a theoretical part, in which the main functions of Plickers were discussed, and a practical part, which included a demonstration of working with the programme.

One of the main conclusions of the workshop was that Plickers greatly simplifies the evaluation process. The participants noted: interactivity, speed of obtaining results, flexibility in application.

The workshop was an important platform for sharing experiences and opinions on the use of Plickers in education. Participants left with concrete ideas and strategies for implementing this tool in their practice. To summarise, Plickers is a promising tool for enhancing summative assessment and student engagement.
