A MEETING BETWEEN STUDENTS AND PRACTICING PSYCHOLOGIST OLGA SERGIENKO WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

A meeting between students and practicing psychologist Olga Sergienko was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.

The event brought together students of the educational programs “Psychology,” “Early Support Pedagogy,” and “Clinical Psychology.” Its purpose was to introduce future specialists to modern approaches in the field of psychology and to explore how personal creativity can become a foundation for professional development.

The conversation with the invited speaker took place in an open, interactive format. Olga Sergienko shared her experience in art therapy, explained the specifics of working with symbolic material, and demonstrated how the creative process can provide support for inner growth and professional self-improvement.

“The path of a psychologist begins with the ability to feel and understand oneself. Art therapy helps to reveal one’s inner world and turn this knowledge into a resource for helping others,” the speaker emphasized.

The meeting was held in a warm and trusting atmosphere. Students actively asked questions, discussed professional challenges, and participated in a small art-practice workshop. Creative exercises allowed participants to see themselves from a new perspective and to appreciate the importance of self-awareness and emotional expressiveness in the profession.

Events like this play an important role in shaping the professional identity of future psychologists, developing their creative thinking, and helping them recognize the value of inner resources in their work. For the students, this gathering became not just an informative experience but an inspiring step toward deliberate professional growth.
