A MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EASTERN KAZAKHSTAN REGIONAL POLICE DEPARTMENT TOOK PLACE AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a meeting was held between representatives of the East Kazakhstan Region Police Department and third- and fourth-year students of the educational programs 6B01301 – “Psychology” and 6B01305 – “Clinical Psychology.”

The event was attended by Damir Begeshov, colonel of police and head of the department of special and professional training of the East Kazakhstan Region Police Department, as well as A.U. Yermagambetova, captain of police and polygraph inspector of the same department.

During the meeting, questions regarding employment for graduates, requirements for candidates for service, features of working in internal affairs bodies, and prospects for professional and career growth were discussed in detail. Representatives of the police department spoke about the conditions of service, the system of professional development, specialized training of officers, and opportunities for further advancement within law enforcement structures.

Particular attention was given to the role of psychologists in the internal affairs system. The speakers emphasized the importance of psychological support for personnel, professional selection, psychodiagnostic work, and support for employees under conditions of high responsibility and stressful workloads.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss the specifics of a psychologist’s work in law enforcement, and learn about the practical aspects of professional activity. The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format and generated keen interest among the students.

Holding such events helps strengthen the interaction between the university and regional practical structures, expands opportunities for students’ professional self-determination, and contributes to the training of in-demand specialists.
