A REGIONAL YOUTH FORUM WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
The Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted a Regional Youth Forum dedicated to the Year of Working Professions in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event aimed to discuss issues of youth career guidance in the region and the training of new-format specialists in accordance with labor market demands.
The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, industrial and business sectors, colleges, higher education institutions, and youth organizations.
The moderator of the forum, Rector of the University Mukhtar Tolegen, emphasized the importance of the event and its role in preparing professional personnel adapted to the modern requirements of the labor market.
“The Year of Working Professions is an initiative of great importance for the socio-economic development of our country. Our university is actively working on the implementation of national projects,” said the rector.
He also announced upcoming foresight sessions to be held at the university from October 20 to 23, which will bring together more than 100 experts from the fields of education, agriculture, metallurgy, energy, and tourism.
In his speech, the rector highlighted the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and employers in forming professional competencies that meet the real needs of the labor market.
“Our goal today is not only to provide students with knowledge but also to prepare them comprehensively for professional life. The university has clearly defined its mission — to train modern, mobile, and competitive specialists. We are open to dialogue with partners and ready to respond flexibly to changes in the labor market,” emphasized Mukhtar Tolegen.
During the forum, participants presented reports and discussed pressing issues of the regional labor market as well as ways to improve youth career guidance.
In the concluding part of the forum, representatives of partner organizations and active participants received letters of appreciation for their contributions to industry development and systematic work with youth.
