A ROUND TABLE DEDICATED TO THE 115TH ANNIVERSARY OF BAUYRZHAN MOMYSHULY WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the East Kazakhstan University named after Sarsen Amanzholov, a round table was held on the topic “The Role of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s Spiritual Heritage in Educating Youth in a Patriotic Spirit,” dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the outstanding son of the Kazakh people, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. The event was organized by the research center “AltaitanU” and the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines.

The opening remarks were delivered by the director of the research center “AltaitanU,” PhD Maira Tarlaubay. In her speech, she emphasized the special place of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly in national history, noting the significance of his spiritual and moral heritage, based on the ideals of heroism, patriotism, and inner strength, for educating the modern generation.

During the event, substantive reports were presented, revealing the multifaceted personality of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. Doctoral students of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines, the head of the university museum, and students of the department delivered scientific reports. Berik Kadyrov characterized Bauyrzhan Momyshuly not only as an outstanding military commander but also as a guardian of the national spirit, emphasizing his commitment to discipline and responsibility, as well as the significance of his life path as an example of true civic stance for youth. Nazym Amanzholova presented a scientific analysis of the phenomenon of national spirit and honor in Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s legacy, revealing its historical and educational importance.

Active participation in the round table was taken by third-year students of the educational program 6B02203 “Religious Studies–Philosophy.” Darina Kadyrbaeva presented Bauyrzhan Momyshuly as an everlasting example of heroism and statehood, highlighting his feats and civic position. Ayanat Mamyngaliyeva focused on the hero’s spiritual legacy and his role in educating youth. Magzhan Kabidollin revealed the significance of patriotic ideas in Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s works and their influence on shaping the consciousness of modern youth. Serali Nukiev analyzed Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s aphoristic statements as a foundation for moral education, emphasizing their instructive and relevant character.

The chief researcher of the research center “AltaitanU,” Aigul Zhirenova, noted that through Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s personality, values such as honesty, justice, and service to the people are vividly revealed. According to her, the hero’s spiritual heritage should occupy a special place in modern educational processes, promoting patriotism, resilience, and national consciousness among youth. In turn, the chief researcher of the center, Viktor Shelepov, considering Bauyrzhan Momyshuly from a philosophical perspective, noted him as a holistic example of moral responsibility, emphasizing the connection of his life path with fundamental philosophical categories of free will, conscience, and duty.

In the final part of the event, participants were presented with a video dedicated to the life, feats, and spiritual heritage of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, prepared by junior researcher Aida Zhaylaubayeva. The video made a strong impression and served as a bright conclusion to the scientific discussion.

At the conclusion of the round table, a final discussion was held, during which the relevance of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s ideas and legacy in forming national spirit and patriotic education of youth was once again emphasized. The event became an important informational and practical platform for the university’s scientific community and students.
