A SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR “DEVELOPMENT OF ETHNOCULTURAL TOURISM IN KAZAKHSTAN” WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

A scientific and methodological seminar titled “Development of Ethnocultural Tourism in Kazakhstan” was organized at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University as part of the methodological decade of the Higher School of Business and Law by the Department of Economics, Management and Finance.

The aim of the event was to familiarize students with the significance of ethnocultural tourism, discuss trends in the development of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan, and highlight its role in promoting cultural heritage.

The seminar was attended by Shynar Karibaeva, Head of the Information and Educational Department of the East Kazakhstan Architectural, Ethnographic and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve, as well as specialist of the same department Aidana Belyugeneva. The guests delivered a presentation on the current state and prospects for the development of ethnocultural tourism in Kazakhstan. The speakers provided informative insights into the work being carried out to preserve the region’s historical and cultural sites, promote national heritage, and develop the tourism potential.

During the meeting, the guests shared interesting facts about the role of museums in the development of ethnocultural tourism, methods of promoting cultural heritage, and their experience in developing tourist routes.

Students of the Tourism educational program who participated in the seminar showed great interest in the topic, asked questions, and actively exchanged opinions with the specialists. Such meetings broaden students’ professional outlook and help increase the interest of future specialists in the field of tourism.

The event became an informative and engaging platform for participants and provided an opportunity to discuss current issues in the development of ethnocultural tourism.
