A SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL WEBINAR WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Today, at the Department of Biology of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a scientific and methodological webinar was held as part of project AP25794101, “Studying the Impact of Technogenic Factors and Climate Change on Tree Species Growing in Industrial Regions of East Kazakhstan Using the Dendroindication Method.” The webinar was dedicated to the topic: “Dendrochronology as a Tool for Monitoring the State of Urban Ecosystems.”
The organizer of the webinar was the project leader, senior lecturer of the Department of Biology, Kuralay Alipina.

During the webinar, the following reports were presented: “Opportunities of Dendrochronology in the Study of Climate and Ecosystem Conditions” by Kuralay Alipina; “Dendrochronological Studies of Coniferous Tree Species of the Forest-Steppe Zone on the Territory of the State National Natural Park ‘Kokshetau’” by Sholpan Abilova (PhD, AIU); “Dendroclimatic Analysis as a Tool for Studying the Latitudinal Gradient of Climate Change in Kazakhstan” by Nariman Mapitov (PhD, Toraygyrov University).

Participants showed great interest in the reports, asked questions to the speakers, and engaged in productive discussions. The webinar was content-rich and informative, and it contributed to expanding the scientific horizons of the attendees.
