A meeting of the Academic Council was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The main issues on the agenda included the quality of specialist training at the departments of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences, as well as the departments of the Higher School of Pedagogy.
Within the agenda, the results, challenges, and prospects for the development of the university’s research activities were discussed. Educational programs for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies for the 2026–2027 academic year were also approved, along with the catalog of elective courses, the catalog of additional educational programs “Minor,” and microqualification programs.
As additional issues, the technical condition of the university’s vehicle fleet, preparations for events dedicated to the International Nauryz Holiday, the completion of the “Teacher Knowledge Assessment” task by graduates of pedagogical specialties, and the submission of academic and educational-methodological literature for publication by faculty members and staff were considered.
Following the meeting, within the framework of the implementation of the university’s Development Program, specific proposals aimed at improving the quality of higher education, developing research activities, and enhancing educational programs were approved.
