AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: NEW STEPS ON THE COURSERA INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM

Today, one of the main trends in education is access to world-class online courses. Among such resources, a special place is occupied by Coursera, one of the largest and most reputable platforms where courses, educational programs and professional certificates from leading universities and companies are collected. Thanks to this, students can master modern knowledge in IT, engineering, business, management, language learning, humanities and creative fields from anywhere in the world.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University actively utilizes these opportunities by participating in the “Coursera – in the Kazakh language” project. This initiative has given students access to an international level of education in the Kazakh language and increased their professional competitiveness. Over three years, the university was granted 1,850 licenses, which enabled the university to reach 3,650 students.

A special achievement for the University was that Gulnaz Esimbekovna Sadykanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, was one of the first Kazakhstani scientists to post her author’s course entitled “Structural and Functional Organization of the Eukaryotic Cell, or Journey into the Cell” on the Coursera platform.

Today, university professors continue to work on the creation of new author’s courses. These steps not only strengthen the position of Amanzholov University in the international educational space, but also confirm that the university emphasizes quality education, effectively using digital resources.
