AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATED IN THE FINAL FORUM “YEAR OF WORKING PROFESSIONS”

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University participated in the final forum presenting the results of the “Atlas of New Professions of the East Kazakhstan Region” project, conducted within the framework of the “Year of Working Professions.” The new educational program will allow the university and regional colleges to open in-demand faculties. In addition, career guidance activities will be organized for school graduates.

The project covers the region’s most important sectors: metallurgy, education, agriculture, energy, and tourism. Throughout the year, university faculty and researchers worked on the Atlas document. According to its developers, the Atlas has become a real stimulus for the region’s education system. Starting from the new academic year, new competencies will be introduced, educational programs will be updated, and the training system will meet the future requirements of the labor market.

Irina Rovnyakova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, participated in the forum:

“At Sarsen Amanzholov University, many specializations will be launched, with training conducted based on micro-competencies. Starting from the second year, students will be able to acquire qualifications in their specialization and become in demand in the labor market. This is important not only for our region but for the entire republic. It is very interesting. It is related to artificial intelligence, new technologies in food processing, and agribusiness,” she noted.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University plays a leading role in the development of the region’s educational sector and systematically supports all initiatives aimed at training future specialists with professional and modern skills. The university’s participation in this project opens new opportunities for students and contributes to improving the education system in accordance with the labor market’s needs.
