AN OPEN LESSON ON REGIONAL LITERATURE WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

On March 10, an open lesson was held for the third-year students of the educational program “Russian Language and Literature” by G.I. Poltorzhitskaya, a lecturer at the Department of Kazakh, Russian Philology, and Journalism, on the topic “Organizing Research Activities of School Students in Regional Literature Classes.” The lesson was conducted as part of the course “Developing Research Skills through the Study of Regional Literature.”

During the lecture, issues of integrating university and school education were discussed, as well as the significance of regional literature in developing research skills among students and schoolchildren. The lecturer emphasized that studying works reflecting the cultural and historical characteristics of the native region contributes not only to expanding knowledge about the region but also to developing critical thinking, analytical abilities, and interest in scientific and research activities.

Special attention was given to methods and approaches for organizing research work for school students, including project-based activities, literary research, creative assignments, and analytical work with texts. Participants discussed ways to adapt these methods for a school audience to increase students’ interest in literature and develop skills in independent information search and analysis.

The lesson also addressed the interaction between universities and schools in the field of literary education. It was noted that universities can provide methodological support to teachers, offer scientific and educational resources, and create conditions for implementing joint educational and research projects.

The open lesson served as a platform for exchanging professional experience and discussing current pedagogical practices. Such events contribute to improving the quality of future teacher training and strengthening the links between schools and higher education institutions.
