At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, as part of the “Silver University 55+” project aimed at older adults, a new educational program has started.

Since January 27, 2026, courses under the “Rational Therapeutic and Dietary Nutrition” program have been conducted at the Professional Training and Continuing Education Resource Center of the university.

The main goal of the program is to provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in rational and therapeutic nutrition, improve overall health, support the musculoskeletal system, and prevent age-related changes. Additionally, the course introduces participants to the basics of taping techniques.

During the training, participants learn the principles of rational and therapeutic nutrition for older adults, study dietary considerations for common chronic conditions, receive information on non-medication methods for maintaining health, master basic techniques aimed at reducing pain and swelling, and improve their self-care abilities and quality of life.

The program is led by Gulnara Kulenova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, with Anel Taranova participating as a lecturer for practical sessions. Classes are held at the Dana Bala Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.

It should be noted that the “Silver University 55+” project is an important social initiative designed to expand educational opportunities for older adults, promote an active lifestyle, and support their successful integration into society. The implementation of such courses not only strengthens participants’ health but also enhances their vitality and motivation.
