AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, AN EDUCATIONAL TED TALKS SESSION ON THE VALUES OF INDEPENDENCE WAS HELD

On the eve of Independence Day, the Department of Kazakh History and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized an event in an unusual format — TED Talks.

The main goal of the meeting was to shape the historical consciousness of young people, strengthen national spirit, and deeply reveal the true values of independence for the younger generation.

During the meeting, the history of independence, the historical significance of the December 1986 events, the formation of national spirit, and the heroism of those who gave their lives on the path to freedom were discussed in detail. The speakers especially emphasized the courage and civic heroism of such symbols of independence as Kairat Ryskulbekov and Lyazzat Asanova.

The creative program, which added spiritual depth to the evening, included a student performance of the song “zheltoksan zheli,” evoking strong emotions among the audience. A specially prepared video, “chronicle of the years of independence,” presented key milestones on the country’s path to freedom, reviving historical memory once again. The performance of the dombra kui “kóńil tolqyny” enriched the event and gave participants a sense of spiritual uplift.

The central idea of the meeting was to honor the past, realize responsibility for the present, and preserve values for the future.

Students and faculty who took part in the event were able to rethink the historical significance of independence in a new way, strengthening their respect for and sense of responsibility toward national history.
