AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, CLEANLINESS WEEK CONTINUES: “A CLEAN CLASSROOM – A SPACE FOR NEW IDEAS”

As part of the nationwide initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, “Taza Qazaqstan,” promoting environmental awareness and responsibility for cleanliness in society remains one of the pressing tasks of our time. This initiative has received broad support within educational institutions, where it continues through activities with significant educational value.

In this context, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized Cleanliness Week under the theme “A Clean Classroom – A Space for New Ideas.” The event took place simultaneously across all university departments and was conducted at a high level with active participation from both students and faculty.

The first stage of Cleanliness Week was held in Academic Building No. 3 of the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Higher College. During the event, college students, demonstrating cohesion and unity, tidied their classrooms. This collective effort clearly reflected the students’ responsible attitude toward shared work, their work culture, and respect for their educational institution.

A clean and well-maintained environment is not only a guarantee of comfort but also the foundation for quality education, creative thinking, and the generation of new ideas. Following this principle, all study groups prepared their classrooms for the second semester as part of Cleanliness Week, creating favorable, safe, and comfortable conditions for learning. Students practically demonstrated that treating the educational environment as one’s own home is a shared responsibility of every citizen.

This positive initiative continued in other university departments as well. For example, faculty and students of the Department of Biology at the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences carried out cleaning activities in Academic Building No. 4. During this collaborative effort, classrooms were brought to proper condition with particular attention to sanitary cleanliness. The joint work of faculty and students helped strengthen cooperation and mutual support within the academic environment.

Events like these, with significant educational value, make a substantial contribution to fostering environmental awareness among students, instilling a work ethic, and enhancing social responsibility. Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University plans to continue systematically organizing meaningful events aimed at supporting the initiatives of the Head of State.
