“AZAMAT” TELEDEBATES: THE BEST STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY ON THE NATIONAL DISCUSSION PLATFORM
The regional qualifying round of the second season of the national intellectual televised debate program “Azamat” was held in the city of Pavlodar at Alkey Margulan Pavlodar Pedagogical University. Students of Amanzholov University also took part in the event, достойно representing the honor of their university. In particular, Zhiger Sarsenbayev and Merkhat Almasuly participated in the regional selection, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and public speaking skills and actively engaging in the debates.
The regional stage of the project brought together the best students from higher education institutions across all regions of the country. They discussed socio-political, social, and other pressing contemporary issues. The debates were aimed not only at testing theoretical knowledge, but also at developing students’ critical thinking and their ability to logically and convincingly defend their viewpoints.
It is worth noting that only students from 32 leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan are given the opportunity to advance to the main stage of this prestigious televised debate project. This reflects the high standards of participant preparation and the strict quality requirements of the program.
Students of Amanzholov University also participated in the previous season, once again достойно defending the honor of their institution. They were Zhiger Sarsenbayev and Merkhat Almasuly, whose achievements clearly demonstrated a strong civic position and the high intellectual potential of the younger generation.
Thus, the “Azamat” project provides student youth with broad opportunities to enhance political literacy, develop public speaking skills, improve critical thinking, and actively participate in the public life of the country.
The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Khabar TV channel. Last year, the program returned to the air after a 15-year break, significantly increasing its public importance and popularity, and allowing the high intellectual level of the country’s best student representatives to be showcased.
