Today, the Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala”, together with the East Kazakhstan Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Qualifications, held a ceremonial certificate presentation for participants of a professional development course at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.
During the event, certificates were awarded to specialists who completed the educational program “Development of Professional Competencies of a Teacher Assistant for Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs in a General Education School.” The 72-academic-hour course was developed in accordance with modern requirements of inclusive education and was approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The program content was aimed at comprehensively improving the professional training of teacher assistants. During the course, participants studied the legal and regulatory framework of a teacher assistant’s work and learned effective methods of supporting children with special educational needs. Technologies for collaboration with teachers, psychological and pedagogical support specialists, and parents were also examined.
The course also focused on practical tools for adapting the educational environment, as well as methods for developing students’ communicative, behavioral, and academic skills. These skills were reinforced through practical assignments. The training was based on real school experience and considered the current needs of general education institutions.
As a result, 25 participants successfully completed the program and received officially recognized certificates. This represents a significant contribution to the development of inclusive education and an important step in strengthening the professional capacity of teacher assistants.
The organizers congratulated the graduates on successfully completing the course and wished them professional success, confidence, and high achievements in providing quality support to children with special educational needs.
