CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER AND THE ASSESSMENT OF THEIR LEARNING ABILITIES

Asem Nasikova, pedagogical-psychologist of Regional Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Consultation” of the Department of Education of East Kazakhstan region gave a lecture for psychology students on the topic: “Characteristics of children with ASD and assessment of their learning opportunities”.
Within the framework of the lecture the lecturer highlighted in detail the key aspects related to the peculiarities of emotional, behavioral and cognitive development of children with ASD. Special attention was paid to the analysis of individual characteristics of neuro-exceptional children and their impact on the learning process.

The lecturer reviewed innovative techniques and adaptation strategies aimed at ensuring the most effective interaction with children with special needs.

Much emphasis was placed on the importance of creating an inclusive educational environment that promotes not only the integration of children with ASD into the learning process, but also the development of their potential.

This event became an important contribution to the formation of professional competencies of future specialists in the field of psychology. The students gained valuable knowledge that will serve as a basis for their further work with children with special educational needs.
