DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: PRACTICE-ORIENTED TRAINING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE METHODOLOGICAL WEEK

As part of the Methodological Week of the Higher School of Pedagogy, the Department of Psychology and Special Education organized and conducted a training session aimed at developing students’ life skills.

The training was led by Mikhail Yesipov, a fourth-year student of the “Psychology” educational program (6B03101). The event was implemented under the scientific and methodological guidance of Associate Professor I.K. Matskevich, at the Center for Continuous and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala.”

The training involved both students and university faculty, facilitating productive interdisciplinary interaction and the exchange of professional experience. This format allowed for the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical approaches in the preparation of future specialists.

The content of the training focused on developing key life skills essential for successful professional and social functioning. Special attention was given to enhancing communication competencies, emotional self-regulation, decision-making, and effective interaction in professional settings.

The practice-oriented format of the event ensured active participant engagement in the learning process. Interactive methods were used during the training, enabling the development of reflective skills and the consolidation of applied abilities, significantly increasing the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition.

Conducting such events reflects the priorities of modern higher pedagogical education, aimed at developing universal competencies, improving the quality of specialist training, and preparing graduates for successful professional activity in a dynamically changing society.
