EKU DELEGATION AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN ALTAI

Today, the Republic of Altai hosted the official opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Altai – The Ancestral Homeland of the Turks. On the Origins of Turkic Civilization.” Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, led by Rector Mukhtar Tolegen, is actively participating in this large-scale event, which has brought together representatives from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Hungary, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan. It should be noted that the university’s Rector is also serving as a moderator of the conference.

The topics of the conference’s working sections cover a wide range of fields: the study of the material culture of Turkic peoples, language and literature, Eurasian folklore, as well as the reflection of states’ past in history textbooks.

For East Kazakhstan University, participation in this conference is an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation, broaden the horizons of scientific inquiry, and highlight the importance of East Kazakhstan in history.
