Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University has once again confirmed its strong standing on the international educational stage. According to the QS Asia University Rankings 2026 published on the Top Universities platform, the university was ranked among the 1,529 leading universities in Asia, taking 682nd place.

Highlighting Amanzholov University’s achievement, it is important to note that this success is the result of consistent governmental support. Furthermore, under the leadership of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, the country is implementing priority measures to advance higher education and science — increasing the number of international students, digitalizing universities, expanding international cooperation, and strengthening the integration of science and industry.

Against this strong foundation, EKU has emerged as one of the leaders: entering the top 600 of QS Asia 2026 can be seen as evidence that the combined efforts of the state, the university, and the national education system are beginning to yield concrete results.

It is also notable that this year’s QS Asia ranking expanded by 542 institutions — a record increase in the history of the ranking. Despite this unprecedented competition, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University not only preserved but strengthened its position, reaffirming the quality of its educational programs, research activity, and international reputation.

The university continues to show stable growth across key indicators. A high graduate employment rate reflects employer trust and the effectiveness of training. The research network is actively growing: the number of international publications, scientific collaborations, and grants continues to rise. The university’s academic reputation is also strengthening thanks to recognition from international colleagues and participation of its scholars in global initiatives.

In the QS Central Asia 2026 regional ranking, Amanzholov University ranks 41st among universities in Central Asia and 25th among Kazakhstani institutions, confirming its stable and dynamic development.

QS Asia rankings are more than just numbers. They reflect real progress in education, science, and international cooperation.
