FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE: TEACHING PRACTICE AS A STEP TOWARD PROFESSIONAL MASTERY

The final conference on teaching practice for third-year students of the educational programs 6B01701 – Kazakh Language and Literature and 6B01704 – Kazakh Language and Literature in schools with a non-Kazakh language of instruction was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The teaching practice took place in schools across the city.

This event became one of the important stages in the professional development of future teachers. During their teaching practice, students had the opportunity to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge they had gained at the university, and also gained a deeper understanding of the responsibility and social significance of the teaching profession.

Representatives of several educational institutions from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk took part in the conference. In particular, the results and observations as practice supervisors were shared by S.A. Demenova, a teacher of School-Gymnasium No. 12; A.K. Sharipzhanova, a representative of Secondary School No. 35; G.M. Ibraimova from Secondary School No. 46; D.M. Bukhpenova from Secondary School No. 16 named after Zaki Akhmetov; as well as representatives of the Regional Specialized School-Gymnasium named after Zhambyl – Zh.Z. Aldebaeva and M.K. Mukasheva.

During the meeting, the achievements of the students during their teaching practice were discussed, and suggestions and opinions regarding their professional development were expressed. Experienced teachers noted that each teaching practice is an important stage in the formation of the professional skills of a future teacher and a reliable step on the path toward a successful professional career.

The final conference allowed students to analyze the experience they had gained and to systematize the knowledge and skills they had acquired. In addition, the meeting helped future teachers define their professional goals and directions.
