FROM ZOOM TO TEAMS: EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS FOR DISTANCE LEARNING DISCUSSED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

As part of the methodological week of the Higher School of Pedagogy at East Kazakhstan University named after Sarsen Amanzholov, a seminar for teachers was held on the topic “Video conferencing platforms: advantages and disadvantages of use.”

The speaker of the event was senior lecturer of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy, Yu. E. Kukina. During the seminar, the functional capabilities and features of using modern digital platforms for organizing online interaction were examined in detail, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.

Special attention was paid to a comparative analysis of the advantages and limitations of these platforms in the context of the educational process. Participants discussed the convenience of the interface, connection stability, opportunities for organizing interactive learning, as well as tools for monitoring and engaging students.

The practical part of the seminar allowed teachers to exchange experiences in using digital services in their teaching activities, discuss emerging challenges, and identify the most effective approaches to organizing online classes. During an active discussion, key criteria for selecting optimal platforms that contribute to improving the quality of the educational process were identified.

Holding such events plays an important role in developing the digital competence of teachers and contributes to improving the educational environment in the context of the digitalization of higher education.
