IN S. AMANZHOLOV EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY THE PROJECT “MAMANDYGYM – BOLASHAGYM” IS REALIZED
S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is the regional office of the project “Mamandygym – Bolashagym” in East Kazakhstan region. The project “Mamandygym – Bolashagym” is implemented within the framework of the approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Program to increase the income of the population up to 2029. The purpose of the project is to identify relevant and promising professions in demand in the region and to develop the Atlas of new professions in the East Kazakhstan region.
In April 2024, 20 employees of East Kazakhstan University took a certification course on the methodology of foresight research in the framework of the project “Mamandygym – Bolashagym”. According to the results of the training the participants were included in the team of the regional project office and will take part in the foresight study aimed at creating a regional map of human resources needs in the region.
The project covers key sectors for East Kazakhstan region: metallurgy, education, agriculture, energy and tourism. These areas have been identified as priorities in accordance with the current needs and prospects of the region’s economic development.
As part of the project implementation, more than 150 employers of the region were surveyed, more than 350 residents of East Kazakhstan region were questioned, and the opinions of 400 representatives of the education system were studied. In-depth interviews were also held with the participation of top managers and top managers of leading enterprises and companies of the region in each of the selected areas. For example, on July 29, in the direction of “Metallurgy” an interview with the Acting Director of HR of JSC “UMP” Danko Evgeny Vitalievich was organized. These meetings allow to collect opinions based not on formal data, but on personal management experience, as well as to reveal the vision of problems, challenges and prospects of development of the industry, enterprise and region.
Currently, preparations are underway to organize foresight sessions, in which invited experts and specialists on the basis of the university will jointly determine what professions and competencies will be in demand in 5-10 years. This will make it possible to develop reasonable forecasts and proposals for updating educational programs and training systems in accordance with the future challenges of the labor market and will become the basis for the development of the Atlas of new professions of the East-Kazakhstan region.
