Today, a meaningful meeting was organized at the Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, aimed at explaining the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the institution’s staff. During the explanatory session, the main directions of the Constitution draft, proposed amendments and additions, as well as their impact on public life, were discussed in detail.
As noted, the draft of Kazakhstan’s new Constitution, taking into account the suggestions and opinions of the country’s citizens, integrates modern trends and responds to the challenges of today, becoming an important strategic document. Primarily, the draft focuses on strengthening the protection of human rights and freedoms, building a just society, and improving the system of state governance.
During the meeting, Mukhtar Tolegen — Chairman of the Board, Rector, Professor, and Deputy of the VIII convocation of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Maslikhat — emphasized that the main goal of the Constitution is to align state activities with the interests of people. According to him, the new amendments will strengthen the rule of law and expand citizens’ opportunities to participate in the governance of the country.
Marina Kikina, Director of the Higher College of the Kazakhstan-American Free University, also noted that the Constitution draft will give new impetus to ensuring social justice in society, as well as to the development of education and youth policy.
Deputy of the VIII convocation of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Maslikhat, Zhanar Sadvakasova, in her speech, emphasized that the Constitution is a strategic document that determines the country’s future and highlighted the importance of an active civic position for every citizen.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants asked questions of interest and exchanged opinions. The explanatory session contributed to increasing the legal literacy of the staff and a deeper understanding of the essence and significance of the new Constitution draft.
