At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a round table was held on “Fair Kazakhstan – Honest Citizen,” focused on developing anti-corruption culture and awareness among youth.
The event brought together representatives of government agencies, law enforcement professionals, scholars, and students.
The aim of the meeting was to enhance young people’s legal literacy, strengthen anti-corruption values, and increase the role of youth in building a just society.
Active participation in the discussion came from university faculty and students. Associate Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence, Candidate of Legal Sciences Gulmira Bayrkenova, and university student Zhiger Sarsenbaev delivered an informative report on “Building Anti-Corruption Culture and Awareness Among Youth.” In their presentations, they emphasized the importance of responsibility and principles of honesty in society, noting: “A just society can only be built by a just citizen. Honesty is the core value that leads a nation forward.”
During the event, participants discussed the legal and social aspects of fighting corruption, proposed initiatives to strengthen dialogue between government bodies and youth, and considered mechanisms to increase young people’s civic responsibility.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of ideas, where students actively asked questions and shared their views.
The round table served as an important platform for developing youth legal awareness and civic engagement. Sarsen Amanzholov University will continue implementing such initiatives aimed at educating a just, responsible, and patriotic generation.
