“LIFE WITHOUT VIOLENCE – A GUARANTEE OF A SAFE SOCIETY”: AN EDUCATIONAL LECTURE WAS HELD FOR STUDENTS

At the Department of Biology of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences, an informative and educational lecture entitled “Life Without Violence – A Guarantee of a Safe Society” was held. The main purpose of the event was to enhance students’ legal awareness, explain measures for the prevention of violence, and foster an understanding of each citizen’s responsibility in building a safe society.

The lecture was attended by city prosecutor Aiazhan Yerzhankyzy, who provided comprehensive information on legal issues. In her speech, she подробно addressed the main types of violence, mechanisms for their prevention, as well as issues of liability under the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, she presented specific examples of ways to protect citizens’ rights and explained the procedure for обращения to law enforcement agencies.

The meeting was held in an open format and generated great interest among students. Participants asked questions related to domestic violence, cyberbullying, personal safety, and legal responsibility, and received detailed answers. Drawing on her professional experience, Aiazhan Yerzhankyzy provided clear and well-reasoned explanations to each of them.

The lecture contributed to the development of students’ legal culture, strengthened their civic engagement, and increased their sense of responsibility for creating a safe environment. Such meetings enhance cooperation between educational institutions and law enforcement bodies and represent an important step toward building a society free from violence.
