MASTER CLASS “ECO-FRIENDLY: SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE PRACTICES” AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY.

As part of the methodological week of the department, staff from the Ecobio Center conducted an engaging master class for second-year students of the “Ecology” program on the topic “Eco-friendly: Sustainable Lifestyle Practices.” The event was organized at Amanzholov University.

The main goal of the master class was to cultivate students’ ecological awareness as an important part of their professional and civic stance, aimed at nature conservation and sustainable societal development. During the event, modern approaches in ecology were discussed, the essence of the eco-friendly concept was explained, and practical ways to apply it in everyday life were presented.

In the theoretical part, Head of the Department of Local Lore and Scientific Ecotourism, E.N. Kulikova, introduced participants to the concept of eco-friendly practices, principles of environmentally responsible consumption, waste reduction, and rational resource use. The lecture detailed the impact of ecological habits on human life and societal development as a whole.

The practical session took place in a creative atmosphere. Ecobio Center master florist Z.P. Bykova, together with students, crafted eco-friendly souvenirs from natural materials, demonstrating that caring for nature can be both useful and inspiring. By creating items with their own hands, students reinforced ecological thinking in practice.

The event helped increase students’ interest in ecology and positively influenced the development of their orientation toward sustainable development principles in their future professional activities.
