MOCK TRIAL: STUDENTS INFORMED ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF DRUG-RELATED OFFENSES

In the East Kazakhstan region, the project “Prevention of Drug Addiction among Youth and Promotion of a Healthy Lifestyle” is being implemented under the principle of “Law and Order”.

As part of this project, a mock trial was organized with the participation of students from Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University to demonstrate the legal consequences of drug use, possession, and distribution.

The main goal of the event was to raise the legal awareness of young people, promote a culture of law-abiding behavior, and explain the legal, social, and moral consequences of drug-related offenses both for individuals and for society as a whole. The initiative also aimed to encourage students to refrain from unlawful actions and lead a healthy lifestyle.

The mock trial featured Senior Prosecutor of the East Kazakhstan Regional Prosecutor’s Office K. Khaidarov, Leading Specialist of the Interdistrict Criminal Court of Ust-Kamenogorsk E. Kanapiyanov, and Member of the East Kazakhstan Bar Association B. Kassenov.

The event was organized in cooperation with Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, the “Antares A” Public Foundation, the Youth Resource Center, and the Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
