MODERN COMPETENCIES: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University takes an active part in realization of AI-SANA project aimed at development of artificial intelligence and new technologies. Within the framework of the project, the entire contingent of the university – students, masters, doctoral students and teachers – will undergo full-fledged training on artificial intelligence.

Five AI agents are planned to be launched on the university portal by the end of the year: AU Kómekshi, AU Sarapshy, AU Ústaz, AU Dáris and AU Talapker. Active work in this direction is currently underway.

In addition, there are plans to open an Artificial Intelligence Center on the basis of the university. Within the framework of pilot projects, free short-term courses will be launched and support will be provided for the introduction of artificial intelligence in the activities of local businesses.

Also, S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University actively introduces modern digital technologies into the educational process. Today, 64 educational programs of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies include new disciplines aimed at the formation of competencies in the field of artificial intelligence.

The new courses cover a wide range of topics – from digital educational technologies and intelligent information systems to the application of AI in scientific research, economics, public administration, physics and tourism. Special attention is paid to such relevant disciplines as:
“Artificial Intelligence and Digital Educational Technologies”,
“AI in Education and Scientific Research”,
“AI in Environmental Modeling”,
“AI in Economics and Governance”.

This initiative is being implemented as part of the alma mater’s strategic direction to digitalize education and train a new generation of specialists. The goal is to train competitive personnel capable of adapting to the requirements of the digital age.

It should be noted that thanks to the innovative AI-SANA project implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students and teachers will significantly improve their skills in the field of artificial intelligence and will have the opportunity to work on real projects. This will significantly increase their competitiveness in the labor market.
