Monitoring conducted in student residences
At S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, comprehensive monitoring of dormitories was carried out with the aim of improving living conditions for students. A special working group visited the university’s student residences and familiarized themselves with the state of sanitary and living conditions.
The monitoring was attended by Aidos Adilbekov and Bakytzhan Yerbol, deputies of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Council, Korlan Tugambaeva, chair of the East Kazakhstan regional branch of the youth wing of the AMANAT party, and Laila Toleubekova, chair of the youth wing of the Zhastar Rukhy party. “Our student residences provide all the necessary conditions for students’ everyday life. New mattresses and bedding have been purchased. New tables and chairs have been delivered to the recreation rooms to ensure comfortable living conditions. Students have access to a sufficient number of washing machines,” noted Zhanneta Kalimoldina, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work.
Special attention is paid to safety issues. Each building is equipped with video surveillance cameras covering all areas. Fire safety systems are checked monthly and operate in accordance with technical requirements. During the summer, disinfection measures were carried out three times, and sanitary standards are strictly observed.
In addition, social and psychological support is provided for students: a psychologist works in the dormitories, and the situation center operates around the clock.
The working group gave a positive assessment of the overall condition of the student dormitories and emphasized that the infrastructure is improving every year.
