PARTNERSHIP WITH SULTAN IDRIS EDUCATION UNIVERSITY

On September 23, a working meeting took place at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI, Malaysia). The delegation of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University met with representatives of the strategic division of UPSI, headed by Professor Suriani binti Abu Bakar, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, and Professor Azmi Mohamed, a recognized expert in colloid and surface-active chemistry.

— During the productive discussions, we presented the strongest scientific and educational areas of our university: materials science, applied physics, non-ferrous metallurgy, chemistry, as well as more than two decades of experience in training specialists in nuclear physics and atomic energy. Special attention was given to the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into education, research, and engineering training, — noted Rector of EKU Mukhtar Tolegen.

Malaysian colleagues shared valuable experience of UPSI as a leading national center for pedagogical research and innovation in inclusive education, quality management, educational technologies, and sustainable campus development.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to launch joint work on the creation of dual-degree programs in pedagogy, physics, and information technology, with parts of the study process to be implemented at both universities. Prospects for faculty exchange, joint curriculum development, and teaching methodology design were also discussed.

A separate focus of the talks was on nuclear energy. Today, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is updating its courses in “Nuclear Physics and Atomic Energy” in accordance with international standards and Kazakhstan’s future technological needs.

In addition, the sides considered opportunities for joint research in hydrogen energy, inclusive education, digital learning solutions, and human capital development.
