PENITENTIARY PSYCHOLOGISTS SHARED THEIR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WITH STUDENTS OF SARSEN AMANZHOLOV EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY

As part of the Clinical and Psychological Week organized by the Department of Psychology and Special Education at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, an educational lecture was delivered by penitentiary psychologists from State Institution No. 73 of the Penal Enforcement System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Police Major Moldir Kabibiyeva and Milena Donets spoke to the students, sharing their practical experience working with inmates and explaining the specifics of psychological support in conditions of isolation and social maladaptation.

The lecturers provided detailed insights into psychological diagnostics, the prevention of suicidal behavior among inmates, and demonstrated a number of practical techniques and methods used by penitentiary psychologists in their daily work.

Students showed particular interest in the presentation of real cases and the discussion of professional challenges associated with working in the penal system. The meeting concluded with an interactive dialogue, during which participants asked questions about the difficulties of the profession, professional ethics, and ways to maintain psychological resilience.

The event helped future psychologists gain a deeper understanding of the role and importance of penitentiary psychology, broadened their professional outlook, and strengthened their interest in practical work within the Penal Enforcement System.
