SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: TYNYSBEK KALMENOV AWARDED THE “ABAY QUNANBAYULY” MEDAL

Today, at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, the first day of the scientific conference “Current Issues in Fundamental and Applied Mathematics” took place. The large-scale event brought together leading national scientists, professors, and doctoral students to discuss the current state of mathematical science and its development prospects.

During the conference, the rector of the university, Professor Mukhtar Tulegen, ceremoniously presented academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Tynysbek Kalmenov, with the “Abay Qunanbayuly” badge for his outstanding contribution to the development of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. This award is a worthy recognition of his significant contribution to domestic mathematical science.

Tynysbek Kalmenov is a distinguished scholar in the fields of differential equations, mathematical physics, and operator theory. He has solved the Tricomi problem, the Bitsadze–Samarsky problem, and the conditions for the correct formulation of hyperbolic equations. The scientist is the author of over 120 scientific publications and several monographs, and under his supervision, 6 doctoral and more than 30 candidate dissertations have been defended.

He has been awarded prestigious honors such as the Lenin Komsomol Prize (1978), the title of “Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (1996), the “Astana – 10 Years” medal (2008), and the “Khurmet” Order (2009).

The event was held at a high level, strengthening scientific cooperation and opening new opportunities for further research. The second day of the conference will take place tomorrow.
