SCO: MEMORANDUM WITH ILI PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

As part of SCO cooperation, an official online meeting was held between representatives of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and Ili Pedagogical University (China). The main topic of the negotiations was the renewal and expansion of the partnership between the two universities.

During the talks, key areas of cooperation were discussed: academic mobility of students, including short-term internships and practical training programs; faculty exchange for delivering lectures, master classes, and professional development; development of joint educational programs; implementation of collaborative research and publications in international journals; and the organization of cultural events, festivals, competitions, and academic forums.

Special attention was given to planning long-term cooperation. In particular, the parties discussed the possibility of holding international conferences and summer schools, as well as the development of online learning formats and shared educational platforms.

Following the meeting, it was decided to establish a joint working group to coordinate projects, designate responsible representatives from both sides, and develop a cooperation “roadmap.” The parties also agreed to prepare a memorandum, which will serve as the foundation for further strengthening of the partnership.

This meeting marked an important step in advancing international collaboration between Kazakhstan and China in the field of education and science, opening up new opportunities for students and faculty of both countries.
