SEMINAR ON THE STUDY OF THE “AKBAUYR” ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX

The Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, together with the Research Center “Altaistics” and the East Kazakhstan Historical and Local Lore Museum, organized a scientific-methodological and excursion seminar dedicated to the study of the “Akbauyr” archaeological complex.

During the event, 1st- and 2nd-year students of the “History and Social Studies” educational program explored the “Akbauyr-1” settlement, the Akbauyr cave, petroglyphs, and other historical sites within the complex. The students also visited the “Bестеrек” archaeological research department of the East Kazakhstan Historical and Local Lore Museum.

In the second part of the seminar, the results of students’ archaeological practice and research work were discussed.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Senior Lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, K.R. Zhirindinova, emphasized the importance of archaeological practice for future specialists.
