STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY EARNED A SPOT IN THE REPUBLICAN STAGE OF THE “AZAMAT” TELEVISION DEBATES

At the regional qualifying stage of the second season of the republican intellectual television debate program “Azamat,” students of Amanzholov University demonstrated strong results and earned the right to participate in the main televised stage of the project.

At this stage, the honor of representing the university was upheld by Zhiger Sarsenbayev and Merhat Almasuly. They showcased deep knowledge and exceptional oratory skills, actively engaging in intense debates. As a result, they received high marks from the jury and the opportunity to compete at the national level.

The qualifying stage brought together about 650 students from 60 higher education institutions across the country. Participants debated social, political, and contemporary topics. The stage was held offline in Pavlodar and consisted of three rounds, after which Amanzholov University students advanced to the main stage.

It is worth noting that only students from the 32 best universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan participate in the main stage of the “Azamat” debates. This reflects the high prestige of the project and the rigorous intellectual standards required of participants.

Amanzholov University students have previously represented their university with distinction in past seasons of the project. Securing a spot in the republican stage this season once again confirmed the high level of civic engagement and intellectual potential of the youth.

The “Azamat” project provides students with broad opportunities to enhance political literacy, develop public speaking skills, improve critical thinking, and actively participate in the country’s social life. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the “Khabar” TV channel.
