STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY MET WITH SPECIALISTS FROM THE EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGIONAL DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY

At the Department of Ecology and Geography of Amanzholov University, students held a meeting with specialists from the East Kazakhstan Regional Department of Ecology.

The meeting was organized by eco-activists of the student club “Zhasyl Tolkyn,” Tolkyn Mavlyutova and Asel Muzdaparova, under the guidance of associate professor of the Ecology Department, PhD holder Jaznaeva J.K.

During the meeting, held for students of the educational programs “Ecology,” “Geography,” and “Life Safety and Environmental Protection,” the chief specialist of the Department of State Environmental Control, Asel Kazanova, and the press secretary of the East Kazakhstan Regional Department of Ecology, Aruzhan Musakhanova, spoke. The speakers introduced students to the main areas of the Department’s activities, including environmental regulation, state control of enterprises, laboratory operations, and the system for detecting unauthorized dumps. Special attention was given to mechanisms for ensuring regional environmental safety and the implementation of digital monitoring tools that provide objective data on the state of the environment.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions about environmental assessments, emissions monitoring, and the implementation of the roadmap for the comprehensive solution of environmental problems in East Kazakhstan. The Department representatives emphasized the importance of youth participation in environmental education, scientific research, and community initiatives, noting the role of future specialists in developing environmental culture and advancing the country’s nature conservation policy.

The meeting contributed to the expansion of students’ professional worldview and strengthened cooperation between the university and government environmental authorities.
