TEACHERS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATED IN THE SEMINAR “DIRECTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LITERARY AND LINGUISTIC TOURISM IN EASTERN KAZAKHSTAN”

With the participation of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and within the framework of the targeted research project AP26199899, a scientific and methodological seminar on “Directions for the Development of Literary and Linguistic Tourism in Eastern Kazakhstan” was held.

The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event took place at the Oralhan Bokey Central Library in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The main goal of the seminar was to develop literary and linguistic tourism in the region by integrating the literary and linguistic heritage of Eastern Kazakhstan into the modern tourism sector, as well as to promote scientific research by university scholars and enhance the tourism potential through the digitalization of historical and legendary toponyms of the region.

Representatives of the tourism and cultural sectors of the region, as well as scholars and students, took part in the seminar. Special attention was given to research projects and scientific results of the university.

The acting head of the Tourism Development Department of the East Kazakhstan Tourism Administration, Islana Lastaeva, delivered a report on the current state and prospects of the region’s tourism industry.

PhD candidates in philology, Associate Professors Berdibek Biyarov and Bakytzhan Kelgembaev, presented a scientific analysis of the toponymic wealth and legendary heritage of Eastern Kazakhstan, proposing ways to incorporate them into tourist routes.

The seminar was held in the format of a substantive discussion and served as a platform for generating ideas aimed at promoting the literary and cultural values of the region through tourism.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University will continue to conduct research on the spiritual and cultural potential of the region and its effective use for the benefit of society.
