THE REGIONAL STAGE OF THE REPUBLICAN OLYMPIAD IQANAT HAS OPENED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

The ceremonial opening of the second regional stage of the republican IQanat Olympiad took place at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, bringing together the most talented school students of the region.

Students from the Glubokovsk, Ulan, Katon-Karagay districts, as well as the Ulken Naryn and Markakol districts, took part in the event. This year, the project has shown record interest: more than 50,000 eighth-grade students participated in the first stage, and over 10,000 advanced to the regional round.

The university’s rector, Mukhtar Tolegen, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that IQanat is not just an intellectual competition, but an important educational initiative that opens up new opportunities for rural students and helps shape the country’s future leaders. The rector emphasized that Amanzholov University is among the leading universities in Kazakhstan, offering 153 educational programs, while actively developing international cooperation, academic mobility, and practical student training.

Special attention was given to the university’s scientific achievements. At Amanzholov University, fields such as robotics and artificial intelligence are активно developing, modern laboratories are being opened, and projects are being implemented that allow students to participate in international research and competitions. These achievements create unique conditions for unlocking the potential of young people and training competitive specialists востребованных on the global labor market.

As part of the ceremony, representatives of the IQanat foundation delivered speeches, and coordinators, schools, and students were awarded for their contribution to the development of the project. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by creative performances from students, demonstrating a high level of skill and artistry.

Following the results of the stage, the best participants will have the opportunity to advance to the national round and continue competing for educational grants and prospects for professional and scientific development.

Amanzholov University once again confirmed its status as a platform where the intellectual, scientific, and creative abilities of young people are revealed at the highest level, opening the way for new generations of leaders and innovators in Kazakhstan.
