THE SEMINAR “AI REVOLUTION: A STEP INTO THE FUTURE” WAS HELD
A seminar titled “AI Revolution: A Step into the Future” was held at the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.
The event was attended by Erkat Mukazhanov, Vice-Rector for Economics and Digitalization; faculty members and researchers of the Department of Computer Modeling and Information Technologies; Professor D.R. Baigereev from the Department of Mathematics; Associate Professor M.N. Madiyarov; and specialists from the Center for Information Technologies. The seminar was led by Dean Saltanat Adikanova.
In his welcoming remarks, Erkat Mukazhanov emphasized the strategic goals set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of digitalization and artificial intelligence development. He spoke about the university’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, introduced the concept of the IT Hub and the AI–SANA platform, and encouraged students to take an active role in developing AI agents using the platform’s tools.
Within the framework of the seminar, Associate Professor M.N. Madiyarov shared his international experience gained in Malaysia and discussed startups and projects in the field of AI. He highlighted the importance of engaging foreign scholars to strengthen international cooperation, develop joint research projects, and improve English language proficiency.
Specialists from the Center for Information Technologies presented the latest updates to the AI–SANA platform. They showcased five AI agents currently being developed at the university and invited students and researchers to collaborate in advancing artificial intelligence initiatives.
Concluding the seminar, Saltanat Adikanova announced that the department will soon be renamed “Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems.” This change will help the university align with modern global standards and technological trends.
The seminar defined the future direction of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University in the field of artificial intelligence, enhanced the digital literacy of students and scholars, and inspired the development of new innovative ideas.
