First-year students majoring in “Music Education” at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University participated in an educational excursion to the East Kazakhstan Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve, organized as part of the methodological week.
The event was conducted at a high level and became an important part of the educational process, aimed at deepening students’ knowledge of the cultural heritage of their native region.
During the excursion, participants explored traditional Kazakh dwellings — yurts — learning about their construction, interior features, and the symbolism of decorative elements. Particular interest was shown in national ornaments and elements of traditional clothing, which reflect the daily life, aesthetics, and social characteristics of the peoples of East Kazakhstan.
The guide provided detailed explanations about the meanings of the patterns, the techniques used to make household items, and the role of decorative arts in everyday life. Thanks to the engaging dialogue and accessible presentation, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural traditions and historical heritage of the region.
The excursion concluded with an active discussion: students asked questions, shared their impressions, and showed genuine interest in studying national culture.
Such events play an important role in shaping the professional and personal qualities of future educators, promoting intellectual curiosity, broadening horizons, and fostering respect for cultural values.
The excursion was not only educational but also inspiring, leaving vivid impressions and a desire to explore the rich heritage of their native land more deeply.
