YOUTH AND ANTI-CORRUPTION CULTURE: LECTURE AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a lecture was held on an important topic — the role of youth in fostering an anti-corruption culture. The lecture was delivered by Arkhat Beysembayev, a representative of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the East Kazakhstan Region.

During the event, key issues were discussed: why it is important to cultivate an anti-corruption culture among students, and how young people can influence the development of an honest and transparent environment in educational institutions and society as a whole. Special attention was given to practical aspects — students discussed real-life situations and ways to counteract corrupt practices.

“Any higher education institution, within whose walls education is provided, can effectively participate in forming an anti-corruption culture among students. This primarily involves instilling principles of integrity and academic honesty, which form the foundation of a society free from corruption,” noted Arkhat Beysembayev.

To practically demonstrate how information is transmitted and perceived within a group, a psychological game called “The Chain” was conducted. Participants attempted to pass accurate information to one another, analyzing how correctly it reached the next link. This method highlighted the importance of paying attention to information sources and interpreting it correctly.

In addition, the lecture featured an active dialogue: students asked questions, shared their thoughts and experiences, and discussed ethical and legal aspects of combating corruption.

The event served as a vivid example of how educational initiatives help cultivate a responsible and conscious generation capable of opposing corruption and fostering a transparent culture in society.
