Department of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation is a structural subdivision of the university, which unites the department of strategy, international cooperation and accreditation.

Purpose of the department's activity

The purpose of work is strategic planning of university activity for medium and short-term periods, according to the program of university development, planning and coordination of university entering the TOP of national and international ratings, passing the international accreditation of EP, implementation of international activities of the university.

Main tasks

- development and ensuring the implementation of the university's policy and goals in the field of quality;

- information support of institutional accreditation of the university and specialized accreditation of educational programs;

- ensuring international accreditation of educational programs of higher professional education together with the Department of Academic Policy and Educational Programs Management;

- assistance in training of highly qualified personnel from among the most talented young people of the university in the best foreign educational institutions;

- development of international scientific activity of the university, improving the quality of participation of S. Amanzholov EKU in international scientific and innovative programs and projects;

- introduction and implementation of double degree programs as a means of increasing the competitiveness of the university;

- development of international cooperation in the field of academic mobility among students and faculty.

Main activities of the department:

– Coordination of work on organizational and methodological support of the procedures of institutional and specialized accreditation of educational programs, support of faculty members, departments, Higher Schools of the University, on the issues of improvement of education quality management;

– Intra-university monitoring and control of the activities of the Higher Schools and departments of the university on the implementation of recommendations and elimination of comments provided by accreditation agencies;

– Interaction with international and national accreditation agencies within the framework of institutional and specialized accreditation;

– Consulting Higher Schools on improving the quality of educational programs and on preparing self-assessment reports for successful accreditation in accordance with European Quality Standards;

– Organizing external meetings and interviews of the expert group of accreditation agencies with university management, faculty, employers and students;

– Development of foresight studies in the field of international cooperation;

– Coordination of assignments for sending (sending) employees, doctoral students, master’s students and students of the university abroad together with the interested structural divisions;

– Planning and implementation of activities for the development of international cooperation in the field of training specialists, joint educational, methodological and research programs, publishing activities and other direct agreements with foreign partners;
– Determination of priority areas of cooperation, prospective planning of international interuniversity relations of the University, search and selection of partners for establishing contacts at the university level, participation in the development of plans and programs of joint activities, implementation of interuniversity exchanges and contacts in areas within the competence of DQAIS;

– Coordination of work and rendering assistance to the Higher Schools, departments and other subdivisions of the University on realization of international interuniversity cooperation in accordance with the reached agreements, assistance in attraction of the University’s employees to work under contracts with educational institutions (educational establishments) of foreign countries on the issues within the competence of DQAIS.
