About the Department
The Department of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation is a structural unit of the University that brings together the Division of Strategy, the Division of International Cooperation, and the Division of Accreditation.
The Department's goal is strategic planning of the University's activities for the medium- and short-term periods in accordance with the University's development program; planning and coordinating the University's entry into the TOP of national and international rankings; supporting educational programs in passing international accreditation; and carrying out the University's international activities.

Informational support for the University's institutional accreditation and the specialized accreditation of educational programs
International Accreditation of Educational Programs
Ensuring the international accreditation of higher professional education programs jointly with the Department of Academic Policy and Educational Program Management
Training Personnel Abroad
Assisting in the training of highly qualified personnel from among the University's most talented youth at leading foreign educational institutions
International Scientific Activity
Developing the University's international scientific activity and improving the quality of S. Amanzholov EKU's participation in international scientific and innovation programs and projects
Double-Degree Programs
Introducing and implementing double-degree programs as a means of enhancing the University's competitiveness
Academic Mobility
Developing international cooperation in academic mobility among students and faculty
Main Areas of the Department's Activity
Quality Assurance and Accreditation
- Coordinating organizational and methodological support for the institutional and specialized accreditation procedures of educational programs; supporting faculty, departments, and the University's Higher Schools on issues of improving education quality management
- University-wide monitoring and oversight of the work of the University's Higher Schools and departments in fulfilling recommendations and addressing findings issued by accreditation agencies
- Interaction with international and national accreditation agencies within the framework of institutional and specialized accreditation
- Advising Higher Schools on improving the quality of educational programs and on preparing self-assessment reports for successful accreditation in accordance with European quality standards
- Organizing external meetings and interviews between accreditation agencies' expert panels and University leadership, faculty, employers, and students
International Cooperation
- Developing foresight studies in the field of international cooperation
- Coordinating, together with relevant structural units, assignments for sending University staff, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduate students abroad
- Planning and implementing activities to develop international cooperation in specialist training, joint academic and research programs, publishing activities, and other direct agreements with foreign partners
- Identifying priority areas of cooperation, long-term planning of the University's international inter-university relations, searching for and selecting partners to establish contacts at the university-wide level, and participating in developing plans and programs for joint activities and inter-university exchanges and contacts within the Department's competence
- Coordinating and assisting the Higher Schools, departments, and other University units in carrying out international inter-university cooperation in accordance with agreements reached, and facilitating the involvement of University staff in work under agreements with foreign educational institutions on matters within the Department's competence
